Kona Jet Ski Rentals gets New Owner and "New Look" heading into 2011.

With nearly 20 years of experience in the water-sports industry here in Kona, Mark Chesler brings you the ultimate thrilling ocean experience here on the Big Island from a whole new perspective – ABOVE THE WATER!

Chesler has not only taken over ownership of 10 year old Aloha Jet Ski Rentals, renaming it KONA JET SKI RENTALS, but has also revamped the business by adding all new state-of-the-art equipment, and a new dock, all which will be enhanced by his unsurpassed brand of professional management.

“This business acquisition was a natural fit," says Chesler, who is the founder of one of Kona's most successful and premier Dive Charter Companies, Neptune Charlies Ocean Safaris, here on the Big Island of Hawaii.  Between Neptune Charlies and its sister company Manta Ray Dives of Hawaii, Mark and his team of professionals had the opportunity and good fortune to take over 7,000 passengers annually to experience amazing encounters in our warm and clear waters, and create memories for those folks that will last a lifetime. Both a U.S. Coast Guard licensed Captain, as well as a PADI Dive Instructor with some 4,000 dives on the Kona Coast, Mark and his staff will now safely guide you through the experience and thrill of riding a jet-ski in the calm blue tranquility of Kailua Bay, rich with both cultural heritage as well as all types of marine species.  “We routinely encounter Hawaiian Spinner Dolphins,” says Chesler, in regards to the area designated by the Department of Land and Natural Resources as their ‘riding zone’.  “During these special encounters, we take extended amounts of time beforehand to inform our clientele about the appropriate behavior we as 'guests' have with these magnificent animals to ensure not only the safety and welfare of the cetaceans, but the safety of our customers as well.”

With his brand new, top-of-the-line equipment and skilled staff, Mark Chesler and his team at Kona Jet Ski Rentals will continue to create memorable ocean experiences for both Kama'aina and visitors alike.  After meeting at the Kailua Pier, guests will be escorted by a comfortable and refitted water-taxi to a 1500 sq. ft. ‘Island’.  On the newly revamped jet-ski ‘Island’, they will receive a comprehensive safety briefing and instruction on riding their personal watercraft; then it’s a full-throttle ocean adventure in the 100 blue acres of specially designated riding area.  Whether it’s a 30-minute “Splash” or a 60-minute “Soak”, riders will be blown away with the state-of-the-art 2011 Yamaha VX110 Deluxe Waverunners.  These Cruisers are large, 3-seaters, that can perform up to 50 mph with their clean, 4-stroke, ultra-lightweight, four-cylinder, 1052cc, DOHC, 20-valve, liquid-cooled engines.  A favorite for couples and parents accompanied by children is the “Ride-Along” option, which allows participants to share in the adventure.  For those interested, a “Dock-Along” option is also available to those who wish to lounge on the ‘Island’, swim, sunbathe, or take photos of friends and family enjoying the ride.  Also offered ala carte are specialized jet-ski goggles, shirts, hats, refreshments, as well as a professional photographer to capture all the thrilling moments on a memory card for unlimited reproduction.

Chesler and new General Manager Evan Snyder have spent a combined 30 years in the marine-sports industry, guiding water activities not only in Hawaii, but all over the world.  Also a U.S. Coast Guard licensed Captain and PADI & NAUI Dive Instructor, Evan has had the opportunity to guide countless dives the world over.  Boasting more Manta Ray night dives than any other individual in the past five years on the Kona coast, General Manager Snyder remarks “I’ve seen the mantas and I love them, I’ve seen the reefs and I love them, but to see the smiles on those faces, captains for a day, running their own speeding beauties around their own paradise track, I get goose bumps every time.”  Snyder also adds “These are not the same old jet-skis, this is definitely not the same old operation, and people need to get down here to Kailua Bay to see what’s going on these days.  This is THE NEW DEAL in Kona, and everyone needs to experience it.  And remember, ¡HABLAMOS ESPAÑOL!”
